Hello! I'm Kavya Ramesh, a senior at the University of Missouri-Columbia. I'm studying broadcast journalism and political science with a minor in business. I've worked at KOMU 8 in Columbia, MO for the last four years.

I approach journalism as an expression of self and use person-first-based language to bring life to flat stories. Using extensive research and great care, I use compassion when I approach every story and subject, making sure to provide a comfortable environment to everyone I talk to.

Through my learning at the University of Missouri - Columbia, I have learned what it takes to make stories unbiased while also engaging and making sure that when I tell a story, it is entirely full and serves my community.
